Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of floatplanhq.com and the Floatplan app. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. Floatplan is currently offered as a private beta.
Your account
You’re responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
Acceptable use
- Don’t misuse the service, attempt to break its security, or disrupt other users.
- Don’t upload unlawful content or content you don’t have the right to share.
- Respect your crewmates’ privacy with the information shared in a trip.
Your content
You keep ownership of the trip content you create. You grant us the permission needed to store and display it to your crew and to operate the service. You’re responsible for the content you add.
The AI Skipper — guidance only
The AI Skipper provides general information to help you plan. It is not a licensed captain, does not make on-water decisions, and gives no professional or safety-critical advice. Weather, routing and navigation decisions remain entirely yours. The skipper of the vessel is solely and fully responsible for the safety of the vessel and crew. Always rely on official charts, forecasts and your own judgement.
Beta service & availability
During the beta the service is provided “as is” and may change, break or be unavailable. We back up data and work hard not to lose your work, but you should keep your own records of anything critical.
Disclaimer & limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Floatplan is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the service or reliance on its content (including AI Skipper output).
Termination
You may stop using Floatplan at any time. We may suspend or end access if these Terms are breached or to protect the service.
Changes
We may update these Terms as the product evolves; the “last updated” date above reflects the current version.
